On July 17, 2010, two of the top professional soccer clubs in Mexico - Club America and San Luis F.C. - will compete in a friendly at Cowboys Stadium. Club America will be making its second appearance at Cowboys Stadium. In 2009, Club America played Chelsea FC in the World Football Challenge in front of 57,229 fans at Cowboys Stadium.
Club America, based in Mexico City, Mexico, was founded in 1916 and has garnered eight FIFA recognized international titles to mark the most titles for any team in Mexico and the most from the CONCACAF region. While being one of only two clubs in the country to play exclusively in the first division of the Mexican football league since its inception, Club America also owns 10 league championships, the second-most among any club in Mexico.
Founded in 1957, San Luis Futbol Club is a professional soccer club based in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. San Luis F.C. participates in Mexico's first division, the league's top division.
